Where should I place my sensor?

For optimal performance, place your sensor in the same room as the indoor unit it will control. You want to pick a location where the sensor can accurately sense the room’s ambient temperature without interference from heat sources or direct airflow:

Ideal placement:

• Away from direct sunlight
• Not near heat sources (fireplaces, appliances, electronics)
• Away from exterior walls and drafty windows
• Out of the indoor unit’s airflow path
• Not directly below the indoor unit

Good locations:

• Interior walls at room temperature
• Tabletops or shelves in central room locations
• Areas that represent typical room conditions

The sensor comes with an adhesive strip as well as a short lanyard that can be used to secure it to your preferred location.
