How often should I clean my system?

For routine checks, Quilt recommends the following cleaning schedule. Detailed cleaning instructions are in subsequent sections. 

Once a month:

1. Inspect the indoor units for debris or build up around the filters.
2. Inspect the outdoor unit for debris or dirt build up around the grate.

Once every three months, or as needed:

1. Clean the indoor unit filters.

Once every six months, or as needed:

1. Inspect the lineset and wires coming out of the outdoor unit for damage. Contact a Quilt-certified service technician if there is damage.
2. Clean the outside of the indoor unit.
3. Clean and remove any dust and brush from around the outdoor unit.

Once every year:

1. Schedule a Quilt-certified professional service technician to conduct yearly maintenance and inspection.
