How do I clean the outdoor unit?

To clean your Quilt outdoor unit, please follow the following steps: 

1. Turn off the heat pump system (for details see the Quilt User Manual section ​“How to power the heat pump system”).
2. Using a garden hose, gently spray the outside of the unit and blower fans. Use a soft brush to wipe away dirt and grime. Caution: a high-pressure spray may damage the fins and reduce performance.
3. While wearing a pair of protective work gloves, remove visible debris from around the unit. Please note the heat exchanger is extremely sharp. Do not attempt to clean around the heat exchanger. Contact a Quilt-certified technician to clean the inside of the unit.
