Why does my system continue conditioning past the setpoint?

Heat pumps run best when operating steadily rather than cycling on and off frequently. In Heat Mode or Cool Mode, your set point is best thought of as the center of a tight temperature range the system works to maintain.

Because of this:

• The system may continue conditioning 1 – 2°F (1°C) past the set point.
• The system may not turn on immediately if the room drifts 1 – 2°F (1°C) from the set point.

This is normal behavior designed to improve efficiency and save energy.

If the room temperature is more than 1 – 2°F (1°C) away from the set point and the system is not responding, contact Quilt Support.
